You may drive your own vehicle or rental car directly to the lodge. Rental cars are available at Glacier International Airport through Avis, Budget, Hertz, and National. Driving Directions and a map are available to assist you. Please contact us a week prior to your trip to check on road conditions and possible road closures.

Shuttle service is available to and from the lodge
through Flathead-Glacier Transportation. Please let them know if you would like them to meet you at the airport. Should your schedule include an overnight before your trip to Spotted Bear Ranch, your driver will pick you up at your hotel, motel, bed & breakfast or other location at a prearranged time. The lodge is a 2 to 2 ½ hour scenic ride along the Hungry Horse Reservoir. Bring your camera as you should see plenty of wildlife along the way. The same service is available to guests departing the lodge. The shuttle will return you to the airport or local area lodging as your arrangements require. The cost for this service is $230 each direction for a group of up to 10 people and may be paid in cash or credit card directly to Flathead-Glacier Transportation. Identifier 8U4; Surface - Grass; Length - 3800'; Elevation - 3670'; Freq. 122.9 There is a fine public grass airstrip just 3 miles North of Spotted Bear Ranch. You may choose to take a charter aircraft from the nearby airports. Just let us know when you will be arriving and we will gladly pick you up at the airstrip at no additional charge. The local charter pilots know to make a couple of low passes over the lodge prior to landing to signal your arrival. We are on the East side of the river, just north of the Ranger Station. The flight is a unique and scenic 25 minutes over the Swan Mountain Range. Please call us for more information and we will refer you to a local charter service. The cost is approximately $300 per trip for 4 passengers with luggage.
